I had a visit the other day with a great friend of mine. It was exciting seeing him again and I had a great time catching up on everything I’ve been missing. I was able to take a new photo, and for the first time in seven and a half years, I got to eat yogurt. It was even better than I remember it!
Visits are the highlight of any prisoner’s time. Not only do the vending machines hold great food (yes, burgers from a vending machine are now considered gourmet food to me) but it’s a chance to escape the drama on the units and spend time with loved ones, even if it’s only for a few hours. Those few hours never fail to fill me with a sense of happiness and peace.
A special thanks to all of those who have been here for me. You’ve made my prison bit easier. Your support and love has gotten me through this hard time. I love you all!
